What's Included
What do I get for $29 a month?
An active subscription adds a Featured badge to your business profile and directory cards, eligibility for rotating Featured placements, private monthly performance reports, and a refresh of your existing OCDIR listing after each successful payment.
Do I need a new listing or a new URL?
No. The plan refreshes the same business listing; it does not create duplicate profiles or a new public URL each month.
Can I keep a free listing instead?
Yes. Basic business listings remain free. The $29/month Featured Plan is optional, and canceling it does not remove your free listing.
Do I need ownership verification to subscribe?
No. A new advertiser can create a listing and purchase the plan without ownership verification. Claiming or customizing an existing business profile requires separate authorization.
Featured Placement & Reports
Where could my business be featured?
Eligible paid listings take turns in Featured spaces on the OCDIR homepage and relevant Orange County city and category pages. Featured badges appear on the profile and directory cards while access is active. There is no guaranteed top spot or permanent placement.
What do my monthly reports show?
Private reports include recorded listing views, official website clicks, phone clicks, and Featured impressions, with monthly history and duplicate filtering. Tracking starts when enabled; a click does not confirm a completed call or sale.
What is the automatic monthly refresh?
Each successful subscription payment refreshes your existing OCDIR listing. It does not make a new listing, submit your URL to outside sites, or guarantee a search-engine crawl. Failed payments do not trigger a paid refresh.
Am I guaranteed views or customers?
No. Placements rotate fairly and depend on visitor activity. The plan does not guarantee impressions, traffic, inquiries, bookings, or sales.
Price, Signup & Cancellation
How much is the subscription?
$29 USD per month, automatically renewed through Stripe until canceled. Review the recurring price and renewal terms at checkout before paying.
How do I sign up?
Use Add a Business, select the monthly paid option, complete your accurate business details, and continue to Stripe checkout. Featured benefits begin only after successful payment. You can choose a free listing instead.
How can I cancel?
Use Stripe's subscription billing-management option to stop future renewals. Featured benefits remain through the confirmed paid period and then expire. The free listing stays published.
What happens if my payment fails?
A failed payment does not activate new paid access or trigger a refresh. Follow Stripe's billing instructions to resolve the payment. Your free listing remains available.
Where do I get billing or listing help?
Use OCDIR's Contact page. Include your business name and public listing URL where possible, but never send full payment-card details.
Search Engines & Public Listings
Does Featured improve my Google ranking?
No ranking or indexing result is guaranteed. This plan provides visibility within OCDIR, not paid Google placement or a search-engine optimization service.
Can search engines read my listing?
Public, indexable OCDIR listings contain readable business information and are maintained in XML sitemaps. Search engines independently decide when to crawl, index, and rank them; sitemap inclusion alone is not a guarantee.
What happens to SEO visibility after cancellation?
Your free business listing remains available after the paid period ends. The Featured badge and paid placement eligibility stop, but cancellation does not delete your public free listing.
