Discover Orange County Businesses and Local Services
OCDIR — Orange County Business Directory — brings local companies and the people looking for them into one searchable directory. It is for the resident planning a home project, the family exploring a neighborhood, the organizer comparing event services, and the business looking for a nearby supplier. Instead of starting with a company name, visitors can begin with a city, a category, or the service they need and explore relevant business profiles.
Orange County is made up of distinct communities, each with its own shops, services, employers, and destinations. OCDIR covers all 34 incorporated cities, including Anaheim, Irvine, Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, and Laguna Beach. City pages help visitors explore close to home; category pages help them compare a type of business across the county. A company based elsewhere may also be listed when it genuinely serves Orange County and accurately identifies its location and service area.
What You Can Find on OCDIR
What information can I find in an OCDIR business profile?
Business profiles organize company descriptions, services, websites, contact details, and location information into readable pages. Where supplied, profiles also include a logo, cover image, gallery, business hours, and other practical details. Visitors can learn what a company does before following its website or contacting it directly. Photos may be supplied by a business or used as illustrative directory images, so visitors should read any accompanying image notes. Check current hours, availability, pricing, qualifications, and service coverage directly with the company before making arrangements.
Where should I begin browsing?
Browse the Orange County business directory by city or category, then open individual profiles to compare relevant companies and services. OCDIR focuses on local businesses and companies genuinely serving Orange County.
Free Listings and $29 Featured Advertising
Is it free to add my Orange County business?
Creating a basic listing is free. Choose the appropriate city and category, provide the required business information, and describe the company in at least 300 characters. A company logo is optional, as are the separate services and Orange County presence fields. Valid submissions publish automatically without manual administrator approval or business verification. Required-field validation, duplicate checks, and spam protection still apply. Submit accurate information that you are authorized to provide, and avoid creating another record for a business already listed.
What does the optional $29/month Featured Business Plan provide?
The optional $29 USD/month plan gives active paying business listings a Featured badge, fair rotating placements on relevant OCDIR pages, private monthly performance reports for recorded listing views and engagement, and a refresh of the same listing after each successful payment. The plan renews automatically through Stripe until canceled. Successful payments do not create duplicate listings; the basic listing remains free if the subscription ends. Paid participation does not guarantee customer inquiries, Google indexing, search rankings, sales or website traffic. See the Plans page for full benefits and terms.
Managing Listings, Accuracy and Search Visibility
How do verified owners update or customize a listing?
Authorized, verified owners can customize an existing business profile with a logo, cover image, gallery photos, an accent color, and a choice of page layouts. They can edit business information, arrange content sections, save a draft, and preview changes before publishing. Ownership access protects existing profiles from unauthorized edits; it is separate from the automatic publication of new listings and from purchasing advertising. Required information remains necessary when a profile is edited. If details need correcting and you do not have editing access, send the listing URL and the requested change through the contact form.
How does OCDIR keep listings and XML sitemaps current?
OCDIR uses its directory database to maintain public listing pages and XML sitemaps. New public listings enter the sitemap automatically, updates refresh their sitemap information, and unpublished or deleted listings are removed. Businesses do not need to regenerate a sitemap after an update. Search engines decide when to crawl and index a page. The directory continues to grow through business submissions and corrections from the community, with the goal of making local discovery more useful for both customers and companies.
How can someone correct outdated business information?
If a listing needs a factual correction and you do not have authorized editing access, use the contact or corrections page. Include the listing URL and the information that should be updated. New submissions should not duplicate a business that already has a profile.
Choose a Service and Compare Local Businesses
OCDIR provides category and city directories as well as practical guides to help people choose the type of provider they need. For audiovisual events, compare AV staffing, video production, equipment rental and venues rather than assuming every company offers the same services. For property work, distinguish HVAC, electrical repairs, landscaping, swimming-pool care and commercial cleaning. The linked business profiles summarize published information; OCDIR does not independently certify qualifications or promise availability.
