About Doheny Plumbing

Doheny Plumbing is a family-owned Orange County plumbing company with longstanding ties to San Clemente. Its official website describes more than 40 years of local service and advertises round-the-clock emergency availability. The company handles residential plumbing repairs, sewer and drain problems, water heaters, water treatment and related work. Its broad menu is useful when a visible symptom could have several causes: a slow sink, for example, might require a simple drain cleaning or further investigation of the sewer line. Everyday plumbing and leak diagnosis: Doheny lists kitchen and bathroom plumbing, leak detection, copper pipe repair, water-main work, maintenance, sump pumps and other repairs. A homeowner reporting a leak should explain whether water is actively flowing, which fixtures are affected and whether moisture is appearing inside cabinets, walls or floors. The company says its technicians assess the connected plumbing system before recommending the appropriate repair. This approach matters because replacing one visible component does not always address the source of a recurring problem. Drains and sewer lines: The company offers drain cleaning, sewer cleaning, sewer camera inspections, hydro-jetting, sewer-line locating, repair and replacement, lining rehabilitation and trenchless options. These are distinct services. Drain cleaning may resolve a localized obstruction; a camera inspection can help diagnose recurring blockages or damaged underground piping; hydro-jetting uses pressurized water to clean suitable pipes. Trenchless or lining methods are not appropriate for every pipe condition, so a diagnosis and explanation of options should come before selecting a method. Water heaters and water quality: Doheny publishes repair, installation and replacement services for tank and tankless water heaters. It also lists water softeners, conditioners and reverse-osmosis treatment. When requesting water-heater service, have the equipment type, approximate age and symptoms ready. For water treatment, describe the issue you want to solve rather than assuming one device will address every water-quality concern. A tailored recommendation should reflect the home's plumbing and the actual problem. Emergency planning and scheduling: Doheny advertises 24/7 availability. Active flooding, sewage backup and uncontrolled leaks deserve immediate attention; if it is safe, shut off the relevant water supply while arranging assistance. For planned work, ask about inspection findings, repair versus replacement, materials, pricing and any access or restoration needed. The company says it explains options and pricing before approved work begins. Frequently asked questions Does Doheny Plumbing handle sewer problems? Yes.
